As a RCVS Tier 3 Hospital-standard practice we have a wide range of state of the art equipment available in order to provide your pet with the best of care. Our Clinical Director is an RCVS Certificate holder and Advanced Practitioner in small animal medicine with a keen interest in evidence-based medicine. Vets in our Hospital have special interests in internal medicine, surgery, anaesthesia, diagnostic imaging, emergency and critical care, ophthalmology and zoo-animal and exotic-pet medicine.
Our diagnostic facilities include a 64-slice CT scanner, digital x-ray machine, ultrasonography, a range of endoscopes, rebound tonometer, ECG machine, blood-pressure monitoring, microscopes and an in-house laboratory that enables us to process haematology, blood biochemistry, electrolytes and coagulation, and urine samples quickly in an emergency situation. We also have an incubator for bacterial cutlure and sensitivity testing. Our surgical facilities include an advanced anaesthetic monitoring system incorporating blood-pressure monitoring and capnography as well as pulse oxymetry, ECG and body temperature monitoring. We have a full range of orthopaedic equipment, and endscopes for laparascopic spay and some other 'keyhole' surgeries. We have separate wards for dogs, cats, rabbits and 'small furries' and for exotic pets, as well as isolation facilities for infectious disease cases, and intensive care facilities. We also have a dedicated dental suite including digital dental radiography, and a radioiodine unit for treatment of hyperthyroid cats.
