Next up for our Vet Nurse Awareness Month introductions is RVN, Katie who qualified in 2008 and joined the practice in 2018.

Why do you like working at Chipping Norton Vets?
I love the variety of species we get to treat which is very unusual compared to other practices. I also enjoy the out of hours and working with emergency cases.

What is the best part of being a vet nurse?
I enjoy caring for hospitalised patients and ensuring all their needs (and wants!) are met. I also really enjoy surgical nursing and helping the vets with orthopaedic procedures.

Do you have any future career plans?
I am currently studying for a surgical nursing certificate and plan to complete this later this year. I would also like to volunteer for StreetVet, a charity that works with homeless people and their pets.

Do you have any hobbies outside of work?
Outside of work I spend most of my time with my husband and two children, Jessica and George. We love being outdoors and going on holiday! We also have a cat called Dottie ❤️
